FAQ

What's the difference between MCP and REST?
MCP is tool-oriented and works well inside Claude Desktop, Cursor, and agent runtimes. REST is URL-oriented and fits scripts, batch checks, and internal systems.
Do I need a token for basic use?
No. Free hosted REST and MCP access works without a token, subject to per-IP limits. Paid tokens unlock higher monthly quotas and paid DD features.
What's in a DD report?
A DD report combines company facts, sanctions screening, insolvency signals, statutory context, risk scoring, and red flags. Free DD is basic; paid DD includes the full report depth.
How fresh is the data?
ARES is cached for 1 hour server-side. ISIR is checked live. Sanctions data is updated weekly.
Can I use this for KYC/AML?
Yes, as a screening and evidence-gathering layer. You remain responsible for your internal policy, legal review, and final KYC/AML decisions.
What's the statutory chain / UBO detection?
It is a heuristic walk through statutory bodies and linked entities. It helps surface relationships, but it is not a substitute for an official beneficial-owner register extract.
What happens when I exceed the quota?
The API returns 429. Rate-limited responses include rate-limit headers and may include Retry-After.
Where do I get a token / trial?
Use the trial form or subscription buttons on pricing. Tokens are delivered after onboarding or checkout.
Can I self-host?
Yes. The open-source MCP servers can be self-hosted under the project license. Hosted plans add managed quota, tokens, and paid DD features.
