FAQ

Can I combine tiers?
Compliance/Agency and Reality are separate subscriptions and can run in parallel. You cannot hold both a Compliance and an Agency subscription at the same time — max 1 active Compliance-track subscription per account.
What happens when I exceed my monthly quota?
The API returns HTTP 429 with a JSON body that includes a link to the upgrade page. Existing calls in-flight finish normally. Quota resets on your billing anniversary.
Self-host vs hosted — what's the difference?
Self-hosted (MIT, GitHub) gives you the same open-source 6 servers with the same public API rate limits. Hosted paid tiers add higher quotas, the ddplus enrichment endpoints (nominee, phoenix, risk timeline, watchlist), a stable token-authenticated connection, and email digest for watchlist changes.
Can I use Reality and Compliance together?
Yes, as two separate subscriptions. They bill independently. There is no bundle discount at this time.
VAT treatment?
EUR prices (Compliance, Agency, Pay-per-report) are shown excluding VAT. CZK prices (Reality) are shown including VAT. Stripe handles VAT collection for EU customers automatically.
Refund policy?
14-day money-back guarantee on first payment for any subscription tier. Full terms at terms.html.
GDPR / data residency?
All processing on EU servers (Hetzner, Frankfurt). No data transferred to third countries. Queries to Czech public registries (ARES, ISIR, ČNB) are read-only — we do not store the content of your queries beyond request logs (30-day retention).
Is there a free trial?
There is no time-limited trial. The Free tier (open-source, rate-limited hosted endpoints) is available permanently and serves as evaluation access. For a specific evaluation use case, email [email protected].
Where does the data come from? Do you buy from CEE or Bisnode?
No. cz-agents uses only state-guaranteed public registries: ARES (MoF), ČNB, ISIR (Justice), EU FSF, OFAC SDN. We do not buy from professional-chamber paywalls (Centrální evidence exekucí) or commercial resellers. Your subscription pays for maintenance, not for re-selling data the state already publishes.
